Black Tea

Black Tea’s major Chinese production areas include Qimen (Anhui Province, home to Qimen Black Tea) and Tongmuguan (Fujian Province, origin of Lapsang Souchong). Its making involves withering, rolling, full oxidation, and drying—oxidation gives it a deep reddish-brown color. The flavor is rich and mellow, with sweet notes of fruit, honey, or floral scents (especially the unique “Qimen fragrance” for Qimen Black Tea).
